so behind!

Ah, life with a new baby!
He is almost 6 months old and *now* I update. : )
Honestly, I forgot about this blog until my friend told me she was doing the same thing (hi Autumn!) for her pregnancy.

Isaiah Levi Bethune is the happiest, sweet-spirited little baby prophet. There is such joy around him. When he smiles he has dimples! I'd forgotten how much I loved dimples. Apparently God didn't! Isaiah is such a blessing to us.

I was reading over some old blog entries, "I imagine him with dark hair..." hahaha! He was born with SO much dark hair. Praise Jesus!!

I have a pile of dishes and no running dishwasher so I'm going to look it up on the internet (the dishwasher) and see if there isn't a little 'handiwoman' in me somewhere. Needless to say, the rest of the updates on this blog will have to wait, not the dishes. : )

red rover

Baby moves so much that sometimes I forget what the sensations in my belly really are. I'm so used to it!
The little knees/elbows I feel when baby rolls and big bulky parts pushing out are so fun to push back on.
When will my baby come?
Who is my baby?
I have to attach personality traits and visual aspects to this baby....otherwise things feel too generic, you know?
So, our baby is: beautiful, with dark hair. He/she loves to push back againts me and move to the sound of my voice or singing. And he/she is a cuddler. : )

my baby cuteness

I have an adorable baby inside! If we scan the pictures I'll put them up...we had a 3D ultrasound!!!

I'm nearly 2 months away from my due date now and relatively small, but I can sense the intense-r hunger coming on. : )
Chronological order of food/hunger:
1st trimester= I had to eat (small) meals all through the day or my stomach would turn on itself. My purse was always full of food, and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere without my water bottle and a ziplock bag of something.
2nd trimester= Still addicted to water, but the need to eat constantly waned some.
3rd trimester= I sense that a new phase, similar to the first trimester, is hitting. I HAVE to eat or I just don't feel well. It's hard to describe because it doesn't feel like my pre-pregnancy hunger pains, growling stomach, etc. I think my belly will start to grow more again.

I'm pretty sure I want to get a pedicure right before my due date. I cannot describe how much I love anything touchy/grooming like that-- getting my hair done, makeup, or manicure/pedicure.
Kinda like this.

Online Groceries

I am THRILLED at Amazon.com's new venture: online groceries with free shipping!
Seriously.
I have yet to purchase anything (most stuff comes in bulk) but I've been comparing prices and they're very...comparable. Especially when it comes to organic brands, which are usually so much more expensive.
I have no doubt we'll be using this *esp* once baby comes. : )

3D ultrasound picture

Levi and I are planning on getting a 3D ultrasound of Baby in about a month.
I
love looking at these pictures.
Here is one of a baby at about the same age ours is right now (23 weeks).

I have also found a website that makes my crafting-heart giddy. Here is a link to the post on converting normal jeans to maternity jeans -- in under an hour!
I did it with a jean mini-skirt but have yet to do the jeans.
I can't wait though!
Goodbye ugly maternity pants. : )

touching my belly

I don't know if this is a new offense or what, but over the last few weeks I've been made aware of pregnant women's strong feelings about belly rubbing by their family, friends and strangers. There are whole online bulletins devoted to it. Apparently, some people get pretty upset....
When I first found I was pregnant my husband and about 2 close friends touched my flat belly and talked to the baby.
Now that I'm sticking out a bit more, a lot more people reach out to touch. Some people are a little apologetic, like, "Is it okay?" while their hand is suspended in mid-air, or already resting on my tummy. It just seems to me like they're connecting with the baby as best they can right now, or admiring the blooming shape of my abdomen, or whatever-- I think it's cute.
I guess it's not so different from someone rubbing my newborn baby's head. And of course that's fine.
